This 12-day professional extension and development training Certificate consists of four in-person 3-day workshops divided into 2 blocks.

A highly experiential training awaits those who wish to explore the rich, symbolic world of sandplay and miniature work.

Rooted in Jungian and humanistic traditions, this course equips you to facilitate powerful, non-verbal therapeutic experiences using symbols, story, and imagination.

You’ll learn how to create and hold a safe, client-led space for expression that goes far beyond words, accessing unconscious material and deep layers of the psyche.

This dynamic and engaging training supports those working with younger clients, offering developmentally appropriate expressive tools for emotional literacy, behavioural challenges, identity exploration, trauma recovery, and more.

You’ll learn how to use a variety of creative mediums to build trust and connection, support self-expression, and help young people process experiences in ways that feel safe and empowering.

There are SEVEN modules. Pick a minimum of FIVE (15 days total) to be eligible to earn Expressive Therapy Australia’s Certificate in Expressive Therapies with Children, Adolescents and Teens.

Certificate in Expressive Therapies with Adults

Designed for professionals who support adults across the lifespan, this flexible training offers a menu of six modules that explore a multi-modal, multiple intelligences approach to therapy (e.g. visual arts, movement and somatic awareness, therapeutic writing, role-play and metaphor, music and sound, and narrative/identity work).

Whether you’re looking to incorporate more creativity into your sessions or shift toward a more pluralistic, integrative and emotion-focused style of practice, this training helps you build confidence in using expressive modalities that reach beneath the surface, providing clients with non-verbal avenues to express and explore.

Choose a minimum of FIVE from the SIX 3-day in-person training modules to be eligible to earn Expressive Therapy Australia’s Certificate in Expressive Therapies with Adult Clients.
