Counselling Psychotherapist, Expressive Therapist & Trauma-Informed Practitioner

Yana is a counselling psychotherapist who works with adults, adolescents and children, supporting clients through emotional difficulties, periods of transition and experiences that may feel difficult to process alone.

Her approach is trauma-informed, integrative and strengths-based, drawing on a range of therapeutic methods according to the individual needs of each client.

Yana holds a Master’s Degree in Social Sciences (Counselling) from the University of South Australia. She has a Diploma in Psychotherapy and a Diploma in Counselling Skills. She is a Master Solution Focused Practitioner and a Certified Advanced Solution-Focused Coach. She holds a Graduate and Postgraduate Certificate in Expressive Therapies, as well as a Certificate in Sandplay Therapy. She is also trained in Attachment-Focused EMDR by the Parnell Institute and trained in Brainspotting with Brainspotting Training Hub.

Originally from Latin America, Yana has lived in Singapore and Japan for more than three decades. Her experience of living across cultures informs her work with individuals and families from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, including people navigating relocation, identity, belonging and adjustment to life in another country.

Yana offers counselling and psychotherapy within the Gentle Art of Expressive Therapy practice.

Sessions provide space to explore what is happening in your life at your own pace, whether you are dealing with a particular difficulty, adjusting to change, processing earlier experiences or simply wanting to understand yourself more deeply.
